Kids Club Program

When: Thursdays, 4:00 to 5:00 PM

Where: Alafaya Woods Apartments, outside of the Club House

Whom: Elementary school age children ages 5 to 12 years*

* All children must be residents of Alafaya Woods Apartments and have documented parent permission prior to attendance.

Kids Club is an exciting, free afterschool program that is held once a week at Alafaya Woods Apartments, just down the road from our campus. Kids Club will consist of various fun, educational activities to support essential values and decision-making skills. Concepts will be explored through stories, games & movement, songs and art projects.

What is happening at Kids Club?

We will explore different units of study through a variety of games and activities.

Our first unit will be about the "Wonders of the World," where we will learn about light, the sky, water, animals and plants.

We will also teach essential values such as honesty, responsibility, and perseverence.

What are the rules of Kids Club?

Each child in attendance will be expected to adhere to a basic code of conduct, no different than you would find in an elementary school.

• Being considerate of other people's feelings (no name calling, bullying, etc.)

• Keeping hands and legs to self

• Following directions given by adult leaders

For safety reasons, we cannot allow a child to participate unless registration has been completed.

Who will be working with my child?

We have assembled a team of retired teachers and trained volunteers who have all undergone a thorough background check. We know that the safety and care of your child is important, and it's important to us as well.

Kids Club is directed by Nancy Spears. She is a retired elementary teacher with 30+ years of experience, and is also the Children's Director at WaterStone Fellowship.

What other opportunities are there for my child?

It is our deep desire to be a blessing to our community by meeting the needs within it.

We offer a comprehensive school supply giveaway each summer for all students in elementary school. We also offer a limited amount of school supplies for middle and high schoolers.

Your child also has the opportunity to attend our Children's Sunday School where they will explore Bible stories and concepts through many of the same activities that we have in our Kids Club. Also, throughout the year we offer families activities on our church campus, such as a movie night and spring activities.

How do I drop off and pick up my child?

We will meet just outside of the complex club house.

We need you to arrive ten minutes before 4:00 pm, so we can make sure your child can get checked in and enjoy the full hour of activities. You are welcome to stay and observe.

Pick-up will be at 5:00 pm. For safety reasons, we can not allow a child to leave with ANYONE unless they are an adult who has been specifically designated on the registration form.
